The Hedychium densiflorum was given to me as a gift from dear people for a special occasion. Intuitively, this plant was chosen for me. Monica managed to bring the large ginger plant in full bloom via public transport.
I had to let it all sink in..... with so much care picked out for me. A plant that would help me. A plant that intoxicated me with its fragrance. Soon after, I went on holiday for 14 days. When I returned, I noticed that some of the plant's leaves had become dry. I watered the plant a lot and within no time the drops were running from the leaves. I received contrary advice and decided to ask the plant what is needed and so began the close relationship with my ginger plant. Soon the plant moved from the garden room to my bedroom. Its leaves caressed my face at night; I fell in love with its gentle touch. I shared my deepest secrets and the pains I felt in my neck, shoulders and hands. The path I am on, the setbacks and the beauty of all that is. The branches that withered I put as a decoration in the living room,; the stems that fell down and were snapped, I cut off and put them in the bath. It felt like a treat to spend hours in there. After a few months, the plant moved to the living room. To my great joy, I see a plant that spreads its arms wide and has 5 new shoots!!! I find myself welcoming life with open arms as it IS. On me too, new shoots have developed and are becoming visible. I love my plant and look forward to visiting Natura plants tomorrow with Monica and meeting Jan Mouws. M.v.d.W.
