Description: The leycesteria has distinctive flowers. The flower begins with purple-brown leaves into which the green berries grow. Outstanding here come the white, tubular flowers. However, these white flowers fall off quickly. Leycesteria is also suitable as cut foliage.

Care:
Before planting, soak the pot in a bucket of water for 10 minutes. The Leycesteria can withstand uch pollution and high winds (including sea breezes). The bracts appear at their best in full sunlight.
History:
Leycesteria formosa is native to the Himalayas from northern Pakistan to China. It grows as shrub vegetation in forests and rivers. Some mountain species grow up to an altitude of 3,000 m.
Significance:
Leycesteria is named after the Bengali chief justice named William Leycester. Formosa is a Latin word and means beautiful.
