Description: Euonymus develops beautiful red-orange leaves in autumn. In addition, the branches of the euonymus take on a distinctive shape as they grow older. The young twigs of the euonymus are green and contain no corky ridges. As the shrub ages, four cork strips form, growing opposite each other on the stem. Later in life, the cork strips grow together and the stems look completely grey-brown.
